IL Route 62
Phase I Studies
IL Route 62 from IL Route 25 to IL Route 68, Phase I Project, Kane and Cook Counties, Region One, District One
Preparation of two (2) hydraulic reports as part of the overall Phase I engineering services for the improvement of approximately five miles along IL Route 62 (Algonquin Road) from IL Route 25 to IL Route 68 in Cook and Kane Counties. The typical existing roadway cross section consists of one lane in each direction (undivided) with aggregate shoulders, and will be improved to two lanes in each direction with median, and curb and gutter. The first hydraulic report was prepared for the existing and proposed crossing carrying IL Route 62 (Algonquin Road) over Spring Creek (S.N. 016-0580). The existing structure consists of a single span concrete slab bridge, with a 25' span length, and 30' approach roadway lengths. The structure was proposed to be removed and replaced under this project to accommodate the proposed roadway geometry. The proposed structure also provided a shelf under the bridge for wildlife crossing accommodations. The second hydraulic report was prepared for the existing and proposed crossing carrying IL Route 62 (Algonquin Road) over the western tributary of Spring Creek. The existing structure consists of dual 4'-wide concrete box culverts. The structure was proposed to be removed and replaced under this project to accommodate the proposed roadway geometry. The hydrology for both stream crossings incorporated ISWS models based on steady-state MWRDGC flow parameters.

West Terminal Interchange
Phase II engineering services are required for the preparation of contract plans and specifications for proposed Western Terminal Interchange near the proposed EOWA and O'Hare Airport near Illinois Route 83 in DuPage County, Illinois. Prepared Phase II storm sewer plans for sections along I-490, Thorndale Ave., York Road, and various ramps within the project limits.

Phase I Studies
IL 53 from West Arsenal Road to US 52, Will County, Region One, District One
Phase I engineering services are required for the preparation of preliminary engineering project report and environmental studies (Phase I) for the improvement of intersections along the IL 53 corridor. Preparation of the Location Drainage Study for the 18-mile project limits, including stormwater detention, and streambank stabilization study for existing erosion occurring at the Hoff Road intersection south of Elwood. Also prepared hydraulic reports for crossings at Sugar Run, Grant Creek, Prairie Creek, and Jackson Creek.

Phase II Design
FAP 326 (IL 47), from US 14 to south of IL 176, McHenry County, Region One, District One
Phase II engineering services were required for preparation of contract plans, specifications and cost estimates for the widening and resurfacing of IL 47 from a single lane to two lanes in each direction from US 14 to south of IL 176, a length of approximately 3.6 miles. The project runs north to south through Woodstock and Crystal Lake. The project included improvement of major intersections along the corridor and provides an urban cross section from US 14 to Hercules Road and a rural cross section from Hercules Road to south of IL 176. A shared use path and pedestrian accommodations throughout the improvement limits was also provided. Performed Phase II drainage plans including storm sewer plans, temporary drainage plans and ditch designs for staging, compensatory storage basin design, stormwater detention computations, and temporary and permanent erosion control plans.
US Route 30 (Base Line Road)
US Route 30 (Base Line Road)
US 30 from IL 47 to East of Albright Road
Phase I Project, Kane & Kendall County, Region One, District One
Phase I engineering services were required for all work associated with the preparation of preliminary engineering and environmental studies for the improvement of US 30 from IL 47 to east of Albright Road near IL 31, approximately 5 miles, involving roadway widening and reconstruction. Prepared the Location Drainage Study for the project limits including stormwater detention computations and water quality basin volume requirements, and Hydraulic Report for US Route 30 over Blackberry Creek structure, including compensatory storage computations and anticipated scour depths under proposed conditions. Also prepared an additional hydraulic study for proposed drainage alternatives to resolve a recurring flooding issue along US Route 30 using Hec-RAS models, with flows developed from Clark Unit Hydrograph and Hec-HMS, in correlation with historic flooding data.
