FAI Route 55 (I-55)

Livingston County

The project involved the design and preparation of proposed cross sections for the proposed rubblization of approximately 6 miles of I-55 from 1.7 miles south of IL Route 116 to 0.6 mile north of IL Route 23 in Pontiac, Livingston County. Development of alignment and profiles using Microstation SS4 platform and 3D Corridor Modeling tools to create temporary and permanent cross sections for mainline I-55 and ramps. Performed calculation of cuts and fills and creation of schedules for earthwork models. Additional effort was required for preparation of cross sections at ramp gore areas and superelevation sections. Prepared additional cross sections for special ditch designs.
