Established in 1991, Lin Engineering provides civil, structural, and hydraulic engineering services, as well as land surveying and construction inspection. Our firm specializes in delivering innovative and practical solutions for transportation infrastructure projects, serving public agencies and private clients alike. With a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency, we support projects from initial planning and design through construction and completion. Our experienced team combines technical expertise with a client-focused approach to ensure each project meets the highest standards and contributes to the communities we serve.
Structural Engineering has provided the strong base upon which our company was founded. Our Structural Engineering staff is experienced in the analysis, design, drafting, and inspection of bridges, culverts, and retaining walls; and is regularly involved in every phase of design, from conception through construction.
Our Transportation Engineering division provides traffic studies, roadway design, and planning services, drawing on experience from projects ranging from local intersections to regional transportation networks.
The Transportation Department's experience includes Phase I and Phase II roadway designs, independent QA/QC reviews, Phase III Construction Inspections, and preparation of various technical reports and studies.
The Hydraulic and Drainage Engineering group is experienced in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis for transportation related projects. Our staff is knowledgeable in the hydraulic modeling and design of ditches, culverts, storm sewers, and bridges; including multiple opening analysis and scour computations. Projects frequently include preparation of Location Drainage Studies, Hydraulic Reports, and Phase II PS&E plans. Our staff is also experienced in stormwater detention analysis, detention structure design, and floodway encroachment compensation analyses for floodway permit submittals.
The Survey Department provides essential services required throughout the life of a project. Our seasoned Survey staff is experienced in performing land and route surveys; including hydraulic surveys, construction layout, and staking.
Our certified Construction Inspection staff has provided construction inspection services for an assortment of transportation-related projects. Our inspectors are experienced in the documentation of contract quantities, as well as the inspection and testing of HMA and PCC mixtures.
